Matthew J. Parker

Matthew J. Parker returned to school late in life, earned a BA in English Literature from Barrett, The Honors College of Arizona State University and an MFA in Creative Writing From Columbia. His first book, a graphic novel, was published soon after, and his work has also appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Daily Beast, Courier Newsroom, Vox Populi, The Baltimore Sun, Guernica, The Rumpus, Blavity, The East Valley Tribune, and Five Points: A Journal of Literature and Art, among others.

Brice Particelli

Brice Particelli earned his Ph.D. from Columbia University and is a 2022 Creative Writing Fellow with the National Endowment for the Arts. Before coming to Berkeley, he was a Steinbeck Fellow in Nonfiction at San José State, an Artist Fellow in Nonfiction at NYSCA/NYFA, and taught writing, literature, and pedagogy at Colorado State, Pace, and Columbia University. Bridgette Dutta Portman

Bridgette Dutta Portman is a playwright and novelist. More than two dozen of her plays have been produced locally, nationally, and overseas. She is past president of the Playwrights’ Center of San Francisco and is currently a board member of the Pear Theatre, a teaching artist with Dragon Theatre, and a member of the Pear Writers' Guild and the Dramatists' Guild.
