Skills:
Courses provide the opportunity to improve and refine language and legal communication skills as well as your knowledge of the U.S. legal system. Topics covered include
- legal vocabulary;
- legal argument, writing, research. and analysis;
- formal oral presentations and informal discussions;
- constitutional law, federal and state court systems, judge and jury trials;
- case law method and analysis;
- the cultural significance of the U.S. constitution;
- alternative dispute resolution (negotiation, mediation, arbitration);
- human rights and intercultural communication issues.
