Bio:
Katie has taught and/or trained teachers in China, Jordan, Morocco, and the United States. In the spring of 2026, she was selected by the U.S. State Department's English Language Programs to teach online courses to Mexico City police officers in preparation for the FIFA World Cup. Katie has written articles for MEXTESOL Journal (in press, 2026) and TESOL Connections (2025) as well as chapters for two books: Beyond Perfection: The Beauty of Imperfect Language Learning (Center for the Advancement of Languages, Education, and Communities, 2026) and New Ways in Teaching Active Listening (TESOL Press, 2026). She is also a member-at-large for the TESOL International Second Language Writing Interest Section.
