Since 2021, Daniel Ayala has taught for UC Berkeley's Fall Program for First Semester, and previously taught in the Merritt Writing Program at UC Merced, UCSC Extension’s TESOL program, and various California community colleges. He also has experience providing specialized writing support to international graduate students.
Daniel's enthusiasm for course development and instructional design has led him to create online learning experiences for various institutions, serving diverse student populations, including adult learners, international students, and working professionals. He holds certifications in TESOL/TEFL and instructional design and has experience with competency-based education for adult learners returning to higher education.
Daniel believes in building on students' cultural and linguistic assets to enhance their academic success, and he enjoys incorporating technology and real-world applications into his teaching.
