New American Cultures Course for International Students

Are you an international student looking to strengthen your reading and seminar participation skills? CWP is offering a new course for spring 2012 to help you do that and simultaneously satisfy the university’s American Cultures Requirement.

Lecturer Maggie Sokolik is on a mission to help newly admitted international students make the most of their years at CAL. She has designed a course, CW 25AC, Reading in and about US Education Institutions, to help international students better understand the complex history and diversity of the American educational system, and to sharpen their reading, writing, and speaking skills through critique and analysis of communication patterns. The course satisfies the university’s American Cultures Requirement.
