About College Writing Programs (CWP)

Welcome to the College Writing Programs (CWP) website. CWP, part of Undergraduate and Interdisciplinary Studies, serves as a resource on writing and writing instruction to UC Berkeley.

We offer undergraduate and graduate courses, public programs, and resources to promote writing and the teaching of writing across the campus.

Student and Teacher Voices at CWP

Cal graduates tell us what they are doing now and offer valuable advice to Cal students. CWP faculty tell us about their courses and offer tips about reading, writing, and public speaking.

Academic Honesty

The College Writing Program has a zero-tolerance policy regarding plagiarism. Students who submit plagiarized work will be subject to consequences ranging from a grade of "F" on the assignment to suspension from the University.

Find Us

College Writing Programs occupies two floors in Wheeler Hall. The main office and rooms 111-119 are on the upper floor. Rooms M13-M24 are on the lower floor.
