Gail Offen-Brown has an M.A. in English literature from UC Berkeley. She teaches Reading & Composition courses and creative nonfiction to undergraduates, and provides training in writing theory and pedagogy to graduate students as well as high school and college teachers at UC Berkeley. She has taught writing at UC Berkeley for more than twenty years, is a Teacher-Consultant for the Bay Area Writing Project, and also consults for the National Writing Project. Gail is a recipient of the 2004 Faculty Award for Outstanding Mentorship of GSIs.
