Gia White, who started giving the Black Lives at Cal tour in 2021, graciously offered to take CWP Lecturer Donnett Flash's CWR4B students (in her course themed "Community and Belonging at Cal") on a special tour, as after Black History Month, all the advertised tours had quickly filled. Ms. White's eye-opening archive-researched tour examines the unheralded contributions of Black people at UC Berkeley through the years. Ms. Flash's students, the majority of whom are in their very first semester here, were enthralled to learn about the depth and breadth of the Black experience at Cal.
