CWP builds community around writing on campus and beyond by hosting events for students and teachers, interviewing campus writers, maintaining a resource library, and publishing an online forum for the teaching of writing across campus.

We are proud of our campus writing community, and we work to showcase that community’s talents.

For the seventh year, College Writing Programs will be hosting the College Writing R4B Chiang Research Festival.  This fall, as in spring & fall 2020, we will run two virtual festivals via Zoom.

College Writing Programs is seeking four Graduate Student Readers or highly-skilled upper-division undergraduates to assess online video assignments in College Writing 11: Changemaker-Public Speaking. Candidates should be skilled and interested in public speaking. This course is fully online/asynchronous.

Saffy Sumra, a student in Lecturer Margi Wald's Fall 2020 College Writing R4B course, has won the Charlene Conrad Liebau Library Prize for Undergraduate Research for her research: "Narrative Medicine as an Outlet of Expression for Healthcare Workers Experiencing Moral Injury".
