Registration and Payment
Berkeley is a large university. This means that different offices take care of different parts of the registration, housing, and payment process. This may seem confusing at first, but it's actually easy.
First, decide what ESL courses you want to take. It may help to write out a schedule so that you don't sign up for classes that meet at the same time of the day.
Copy the section and course control numbers of the classes you want. For prices and other information, you can check Summer Schedule of Classes.
When you are ready to register, go to the Summer Sessions website. On the registration form there, you will also pay a registration fee as well as your class fees. This fee depends on your status as a Berkeley student, a visitor, and where you live. When you fill out your registration form, you can also request a visa if you need one.
Important: The Summer English Language Institute does not handle money, visas, housing, or registration. Please be sure to contact the correct office to be sure your questions are answered.
