Online Courses
- What is an online course?
An online course is one that is taken entirely over the Internet. Here are some questions you might have about our online courses. If you have other questions, please send e-mail.
- What will I need?
A computer connected to the Internet, an up-to-date browser, and in some cases, speakers/headphones and a microphone.
- Will I receive credit for these courses?
Yes, although you will receive only a grade of "pass" or "no pass." Our online courses grant two units of university credit.
- Do I need to be online at specific times of the day?
No, although some classes may organize optional chat sessions. Otherwise, you can complete the course material at any time of day that you wish.

Yes. TOEFL Preparation involves speaking and listening as well as reading and writing.
- Is there a real teacher for these courses, or is the computer the teacher?
Each course has a real teacher who is available to answer questions, grade your work and give you feedback.

All course materials are available online. However, some courses may suggest that you buy a textbook.
