Summer Sessions

Registration Information

After planning their schedules, students work directly with the UC Berkeley Summer Sessions Office to register and pay for courses.

Placement Exam

Students enrolled in ESL 8: English as a Second Language in Session D or Session E are required to take an online placement exam before classes begin. Other ESL courses do not require any placement exam before classes start.
