Caroline M. Cole, Ph.D.
Caroline Cole received her doctorate in the Center for Writing Studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana.

In addition to having taught business writing courses for over 19 years, Cole has taught courses in technical writing and desktop publishing and has led professional writing workshops in both university and industry settings.

As a faculty member at the University of California, Berkeley, she teaches writing courses for the College Writing Programs and the Walter A. Haas School of Business. In 1999, she designed, proposed and launched College Writing 151 to help students communicate more appropriate and effectively in non-academic contexts.

In addition to working with students, she has developed and led professional writing workshops for faculty and staff through the University's Employee Development Training Program and serves as a consultant for businesses and individuals.
